दिलीप कुमार काफी समय से बीमार चल रहे थे. दिलीप कुमार के पारिवारिक मित्र फैजल फारुखी ने आज एक्टर के ट्विटर द्वारा उनके निधन की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने लिखा- बहुत भारी दिल से ये कहना पड़ रहा है कि अब दिलीप साब हमारे बीच नहीं रहे।

दिलीप कुमार का असली नाम मोहम्मद युसूफ खान था. उनका जन्म 11 दिसंबर 1922 को हुआ था. उन्हें हिंदी सिनेमा में The First Khan के नाम से जाना जाता है। हिंदी सिनेमा में मेथड एक्टिंग का क्रेडिट उन्हें ही जाता है।
